HR Manage version 7 released on schedule on the 5th of October 2026 and is deployed as the default version for new clients and we’re slowly rolling it out to existing clients. It is the largest release in the history of HR Manage and it arrives in the system’s 25-year anniversary, which feels right.
What shipped
At the center of version 7 is the new web application, rewritten from the ground up on ASP.NET Core for .NET 10. The following modules have been migrated to the new web application:
People & Compliance
The redesigned Employee File puts personal, employment and organisational information on one overview, with visual summaries for compliance, leave, training and assets. Managers get a weekly view of their team: birthdays, anniversaries, upcoming leave, training and staff movements. Employees can also view their latest payslip(s) if their company use a supporting payroll that we can integrate with.
Leave
Faster, more dynamic applications with balances recalculated as the dates change, a month and timeline planner, batch approvals, blocked days and an automatic daily leave run in place of the old month-end process. Email notifications are now smart and managers can approve or reject applications directly from the email.
Workflows & Forms
The third generation of the workflow platform, with paging for organisations running thousands of open workflows, redesigned forms with more field types and conditional logic, new activities including Sleep, Complete Document and Internal Document Signing, batch approvals, grouped escalations and export of an entire workflow to PDF.
Training
Training can now be viewed online, managers can see the training compliance for their sub-ordinates and request renewal training while expiry is due. Practitioners can share the Training Event page with a QR code during the session where learners can go and sign an online attendance register.
Other
Around the web application, version 7 also brings built-in multi-factor authentication, lazily loaded dashboards that no longer hold up sign-in, a rebuilt email notification platform with richer content and quick actions, automatically generated organisational charts. The Windows application has a new Organisational Chart builder and also features an upgraded Importer.
AI Integrated
And it is our first AI-enabled release. AI appears in seven places across the system, with one rule throughout: it removes the grunt work and leaves the decision with the user. The first and most visible is compliance, where documents can be uploaded in a batch and the system identifies each one, matches it to the right employee and requirement, and extracts the dates and other fields for a person to confirm. AI also helps design forms in both the workflow and document signing modules, and helps the Importer map and match columns from a payroll or other source. AI features are optional and metered separately.
What’s Next
Due to the massive size of this upgrade, we decided to postpone the release of our new recruitment module to the second phase of version 7’s release while the Performance Management, Job Profiling and Incident Reporting will release as part of the 3rd phase which should be the second quarter of 2027. Our priority now is rolling out this release to every client and HR Manage – Recruit deserves a proper launch of its own rather than a place in the queue. Everything we said about it still stands, only the timing has moved.
Weekly Releases
A release this large will have rough edges, and we would rather fix them weekly than quarterly. For the foreseeable future, version 7 gets a maintenance release every week, each one fixing what clients have reported and, where ready, adding features. They are listed as they ship on the maintenance releases page in the help portal.
If you are an existing client and have not yet heard from your key account manager about your upgrade, you will shortly. If you would like to see version 7 before then, ask us for a demonstration.
New Look
As part of the new release and our 25-year anniversary, we would also like to introduce our new logos for HR Manage and our company below.
Thank you to everyone who tested, reported and waited. Here’s to the next 25 years.
